To the virgins
Please read the following text carefully. What do you think is the message it´s trying to pass on to young people? What is your own opinion on this message? And, what do you think of this poem?
To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today,
To-morrow will be dying.
The glorious lamp of heaven, the Sun,
The higher he's a-getting;
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he´s to setting.
That age is best, which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times still succeed the former.
Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may, go marry;
For having lost but once your prime,
You may for ever tarry.

Comenzamos el primer blog de Thomas Jefferson Campus Guadalajara con el tema de Reon Schutte y sus vivencias en sudafrica...
... Imaginate estar en la posición que vivió durante sus años preso, ¿como te sentirías si ahora estuvieras ahí, bajo las mismas condiciones? cual sería la perspectiva que tendrías de la vida después de vivir algo así? Crees que pago el precio por ser militar y estar donde tal vez no debía estar? ¿Crees que el cancer para el fue algo bueno o malo tomando en cuenta las condiciones en las que estaba? Expresa tu opinión sobre el tema y hazlo saber a todos.
